Saint Ursula

Saint Ursula ("little female bear" in Latin) is a Christian saint. Her feast day in the Catholic Church is October 21. When Ursula was a little girl, she loved children very much. She therefore became a teacher. The Huns captured Ursula and her companions during a visit to France. They asked Ursula and her companions to refute their belief in Christ. They all refused so the army of the Huns drew their swords. They killed Ursula and all her companions. She is the Saint of Virgin Martyrs.

Ursuline Prayer
Gracious God,we come before you and ask for your blessing.
Give us the grace to model the Ursuline values of
Service, Courtesy, Loyalty and Courage by attitude and action.
Guide us, that in the spirit of St. Angela,
Our relationships may be rooted in reverence, respect and loving kindness.
Let deep faith, trust and joy give energy to our efforts
As we seek you and your people with generous and open hearts.
Grant this in Jesus' name and through the intercession of St. Angela.
Amen
