More than 100 jars of peanut butter for the Lunchbox Fund
Grade 6 have chosen to support the Lunchbox Fund this year. This project provides a meal a day to children in the township schools of Alexandra and Soweto. Many of these children are AIDS orphans who are caring for their siblings. Typically the children are fed peanut butter and/or jam sandwiches on whole wheat bread with a piece of fresh fruit daily. We support this project by collecting as many jars of peanut butter as we can and then we donate them to the Lunchbox Fund. Thank you to all the Grade 6 families that have supported this initiative. We have sent over 100 jars of peanut butter to the Lunchbox Fund. This project will continue next term, so please continue to add a jar of peanut butter to your shopping trolley, to send to school.
