Retreats are an integral part of the RE programme at Brescia House and the Grade 5 excursion to Bosco was enjoyed immensely by the girls. The theme for 2011 was Spirituality and three activities were presented which focused on this topic. In the “God in the Box” activity, the girls found that everyday objects can remind them of God, if they only take time to look and think. The led meditation was a novel experience for many and the group prayer was also a most enjoyable activity. The day ended with a celebration of Mass. We are grateful to the Salesian Brothers, Priests and lay volunteers who dedicate themselves with such enthusiasm to the religious education of young people.
