Brescia House Primary School celebrated Sr Notburga's 80th birthday at Mass and a Primary School assembly on Friday, 22 July 2011. The Grade 3K girls led the school in a Mass with special intentions for Sister Notburga and, during the Mass, she was lauded for her contributions to the school, the church and the community. Her message to the girls was to be the "best that you can be". The Grade 2A class led the assembly and astonished everyone by playing recorders melodiously to the tune of "Happy Birthday". The assembly included many items dedicated to Sr Notburga and was a tribute to her love and dedication to our school. The assembly was followed by a tea during which Sister cut her birthday cake. We wish Sister Notburga a happy and blessed 80th year.
