Brescia House Swaps Printer Cartridges for Trees

During the long, cold winter months we continued to collect cartridges for Green Office to recycle. We asked them to keep the trees, that we had earned for collecting over 100 cartridges each month, until the start of Spring when we could plant them. At Assembly on Wednesday, 7 September, Roxanne and Mineze from Green Office joined us to present us our trees. Two classes in particular have excelled with their collection efforts. 5H have been the leading class of the year having collected 143 cartridges, and 2W are following with 61 cartridges. Therefore, representatives from these two classes were asked to please receive the trees on behalf of the school. These two classes will plant and nurture these trees for us all to enjoy. They will be planting three Jacket Plum trees, which is the tree of the year and indigenous to our area. Sandton Chronicle will be publishing a short article on this project in next week’s edition.
